My name is Chris and I am an experienced HSC Physics and HSC Chemistry teacher, having taught in NSW Schools for the past 10 years.

I am an experienced HSC Marker for Physics and have also presented at conferences on the topic of HSC Marking for Physics.

I specialise in tutoring HSC Physics and Chemistry to small groups of capable students.

My small groups cater towards students capable of and aiming for a mark of 85+ in HSC Physics and HSC Chemistry. If you are struggling with your understanding of these subjects, I would advise 1-to-1 tuition, which I am unable to currently offer due to time constraints.

The Approach

At Sigma, we insist on perfection from the very beginning. Our emphasis on examination technique, deconstruction of questions and the formulating of a marking criteria before even attempting to answer the question has enabled our students to consistently achieve outstanding results.

It is our view that perfect responses only come from perfect practice.

The Environment

At Sigma, we believe that students being small class sizes are one of the keys to success.

Our classes have a maximum of 15 students, this allows students to retain their focus and receive more individual attention.

The majority of our classes are single school classes, allowing us to focus on and prepare for upcoming assessment tasks.

A collaborative atmosphere is encouraged and students are involved in the learning process, whether it be answering questions, discussion or critiquing other students answers.

We strive to go above and beyond the regular tuition companies, with our “ground up” approach, we ensure the essentials are covered so more time can be allocated to the harder, application style questions

The Teacher

All classes are taught by experienced, knowledgeable and reputable teacher, Chris Williams aka “The Madd Fizzycyst”.

He is an experienced HSC Physics & Chemistry teacher, an experienced HSC marker and a presenter at STANSW Meet The Markers conference for HSC Physics.

His insistence on perfection in HSC subjects has seen his students continually perform well above the state average.

His delivery is dynamic and he knows all of the ‘small things‘ which actually make a difference to your HSC responses.

The Support

At Sigma, we are firm believers that learning does not finish once the lesson finishes.

At Sigma, we also provide feedback for preparation for all assessment tasks free of charge. We are more than happy to mark responses to practice questions or provide feedback on draft assignments given a reasonable time frame.
