What is Sigma Science Education?

Sigma Science Education is the premier provider of high-quality HSC Chemistry and Physics tuition for high-achieving students. We teach two subjects only, from our campus at Level 5, 33 Argyle St, Parramatta.

Who are the teachers?

All of our teachers are handpicked by the owner, Chris, for their knowledge and their communication skills. We have fully qualified teachers with 20+ years of teaching and exam-marking experience alongside newer graduates with a real gift for teaching. We don't pick tutors on HSC marks alone — we have turned away state rankers and 99.95 ATAR graduates who lacked the communication skills to be a genuinely great teacher.

What is included in a course?

Weekly classes (8-week terms for Year 11, 9-week terms for Year 12; 10 weeks for Year 10 Prelim Prep), marked weekly homework with feedback (Years 11–12), marked weekly spot tests (Year 12), exclusive notes and class booklets, extra resources including question banks, past examinations and lesson recordings, and access to our 24/7 Discord server.

If I enrol now, do I get access to previous terms' content?

You get access to the materials which you pay for. Previous terms' materials (booklets + lesson recordings) are available to purchase separately at a discounted rate for all enrolled students.

What is in the class booklets?

Our booklets are compiled using the expertise of university academics, senior HSC markers, HSC examination writers, experienced teachers and high-achieving students. They cover all syllabus content — and some beyond it — broken into digestible chunks and reinforced with consolidation and exam-style questions.

Are the courses available online?

Our face-to-face students have access to our online portal, which contains full course recordings — so a missed class can always be caught up.

What payment methods do you accept?

All payments are made via credit or debit card through our enrolment portal.

Do you offer free trials or refunds?

As most of our classes fill prior to courses commencing, we only offer trial lessons after our courses have commenced. If you decide to discontinue at any stage through the term, we offer a prorated refund.

Do you offer any discounts?

We offer an Early Bird discount each term, applied when payment is made before the Early Bird period ends. If you enrol in multiple subjects, the second subject is also at a discounted rate.

Do you offer lesson credits for missed lessons?

No — like school, missed lessons don't accrue credits. We can place you in a different class running the same lesson (if positions are available), or you can catch up using the lesson recordings.

Where are you located?

Level 5, 33 Argyle St, Parramatta NSW 2150 — a short walk from Parramatta station. Some students travel from over 100 km away.
